RULES & FAQ
The concept of this comm came from icontalking where people wanted more fandom-specific challenges, however there are many fandoms i wish we could celebrate without having a comm dedicated to them. This comm will also be user-run, rather than having a mod who posts all the challenges - which means each challenge will have a challenge host.
The comm format will be a closed submission challenge, in that members will post their icons to the submission post, and voting will be anon. There is nothing better or worse about each format - it's nice to mix it up. Templates for both formats can be found in the below textareas:
Anyone can host a challenge. If you're passionate about your fandom, come along and get people to enter. DW is a small place however, so the smaller the fandom the more likely you may need to provide caps. To host a challenge there MUST be screencaps for your fandom. Either a link to a gallery, or providing a minimum of 6 screencaps for your challenge that are good quality.
Unfortunately, if you don't stick to the schedule i will close your challenge and move on to the next one, to keep the comm moving - so if please choose to host during a time you know you can be around to post a challenge, voting & winners. You do not need a paid account.
Here is the form for signing up for a host:
Due to the nature of the community, challenges will run for two weeks within in a three week period, to ensure things stick to time. Therefore this is the upcoming schedule:
Spoilers aren't allowed. Any movie must be out of the theatre, any tv show must have aired for at least two weeks before images can be used.
Can you use the same fandom more than once? Yes, as long as there are no other hosts waiting or it's been at least 10 challenges since it was last used.
What about verses? You can chose to use a whole verse (eg. Marvel, Stargate) or you can pick out the one show/move (eg. Wonder Woman and use all versions, or Star Trek Discovery)
Can it be comic based Yes of course - provide scans instead of screencaps.
Are any genres acceptable? Yes of course!
